Silver Spring, Maryland
Emilio Alejandro "Alex" Brioso, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2026, at the age of 29. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alex was a devoted father to his two daughters who were the center of his world. Those who knew him say his love for his girls showed in everything he did. He was, above all, passionate about the people he loved and always ready to show up for them.
Alex had a personality that filled a room. He was fun, silly, and had a contagious laugh that made everyone around him smile. Alex was polite, kind, and treated everyone with respect. He was gentle and warm with everyone he met. Alex was also especially gifted in math and computers, and brought that same sharpness and drive to his daily work. He worked alongside his father, standing by his side. Alex was also a man of deep faith, spiritual and grounded in his love for God.
Alex was an exceptional boxer and an avid weightlifter, dedicated to pushing himself physically and mentally. He loved cars, the outdoors, and nature, and found joy in the simple things — a good football game, a video game with friends, hours lost in anime, and, fittingly for a man who never lost his playful spirit, a lifelong love of Sonic. He was, by all accounts, an exceptional friend, son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandchild — someone people were lucky to call him family.
Alex is survived by his children, Faith Brioso and Leah Brioso; his parents, Emilio Brioso and Mari Lopez; his sisters, Jessica Brioso and Daniela Brioso; his grandparents, Amarilis Cajas, Marco Cajas, and Estebana Bonilla; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francisco Brioso.
We welcome everyone to join us in honoring the life of our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandchild and friend.
We encourage all who knew Alexto share their memories, stories, and photos on his memorial page. Let us keep his spirit alive by remembering him as he was—a remarkable individual, full of life, love, and laughter.
